Nepean, ON – The Nepean Raiders have completed a trade with the Hawkesbury Hawks, acquiring 2004-born defenceman David Taylor and a Player Development Fee in exchange for 2003-born forward Owen Hardy.
Taylor, hailing from Saint-Lazare, Quebec, has played in all 32 of the Hawks’ games this season, scoring his first career CCHL goal at the October Showcase and adding 5 more assists through the campaign. His 6’1 frame adds some size to the Raiders’ blue line, as well as some great two-way ability.
Taylor began in U16 and U17 with the Lac-St-Louis Lions in Quebec, but moved to the US to play high school prep hockey. In two seasons post-Covid with the Wyoming Seminary Prep team, he scored 6 goals and added 22 assists for 28 points in 39 total games. He was named to the Midwest Prep Hockey League’s First All-Star team last season with 16 points in 16 games. Taylor will make his debut in the black and red wearing #17!
Welcome to Nepean, David!
We’d also like to thank Owen for his time spent in the Raiders organization as our alternate captain this season.
