Raiders Acquire Colter From CPC

by Tommy Young

Nepean, ON – The Nepean Raiders have completed a trade with the Carleton Place Canadians, acquiring 2004-born defenceman Owen Colter in exchange for 2005-born defenceman Seamus Lockhart and a Player Development Fee.

Colter is a local native of Kanata, Ontario, and has spent parts of the last 5 seasons in the Canadians organization. Through the first half of this season, Colter has patrolled 28 games on the Carleton Place blue line, putting up 4 goals and 5 assists; his big 6’1 frame has allowed him to provide excellent two-way play in his 77 career games, as well as gain some playoff experience last season, where he had one assist in 5 games.

Colter spent two seasons as a member of the Carleton Place U18 AAA squad, with four assists in 40 games played. He also played part of the 2021-22 season with the EOJHL’s Jr. Canadians, scoring twice and adding 25 assists over 30 games, and a further two assists in 10 playoff games. He’ll suit up wearing #22 for the Raiders.

Welcome to Nepean, Owen!

We’d also like to thank Seamus for his time spent in the Raiders organization.
