BELISLE NAMED WEEK 19 CCM PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Raider forward Antoine Belisle was been named the CCHL’s CCM Player of the Week for week 19.

Belisle, 19, earned three goals and an assist in Nepean’s two extra-time losses to Rockland this week. The St. Bruno, QC-native leads the Raiders in points (35) and has already matched his 16/17 totals in goals (14).

The 6’0 centre said he believes a lot of his success comes with the help of his linemates.

“Ever since we traded for Silas (Mattawashish) a few weeks ago, things have been clicking with me, (Olivier) Gauthier and him,” noted Belisle.

Mattawashish has assisted on three of Belisle’s goals since being acquired eight games ago. Belisle has added a helper on two of Mattawashish’s four goals in a Nepean jersey.

“It’s nice to get on the scoresheet but it would have been nice to get the wins against Rockland last week.”

Belisle said he also believes he has the opportunity to commit to a Division I school next season after his final year of junior.

Honourable mentions went out to Zach McMahon of the Brockville Braves and Cornwall Colts’ forward Konnor MacCormick.
