Raiders fall 3 – 1 to the Rockland Nationals

The Nepean Raiders lost their second straight game Wed. night, falling 3-1 to the Rockland Nationals at CIH Arena.

Dana Engram’s sixth of the season proved to be the difference for the Nationals (5-3-1-1).

The Raiders’ loss keeps them at the bottom of the CCHL’s Yzerman Division at 2-6.

Nepean failed to get much by Rockland goalie Sean Storr despite firing 32 shots his way.

Co-captain Kari Belec scored the lone goal for the visiting Raiders, his first on the year.

Recent Raiders’ signee Mackenzie White earned an assist on Belec’s goal for his first point in his first CCHL game.

Matthew Chan made 15 saves in defeat.

Nepean will have an opportunity for revenge against Rockland this Sun. at the Sportsplex.
