The Nepean Raiders are pleased to announce the hiring of Takeshi Yamanaka as Assistant Coach for the 2020-21 season. Takeshi spent last season with the Kanata Lasers coaching staff. Takeshi is a former Olympic defenseman with the Japanese National Team representing his country on home ice during the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. He played professionally with the Oji Seishi of the Japan Ice Hockey League and has coached professionally in the Asia League with the Oji Eagles. On multiple occasions, both as a player and as a coach, Takeshi has represented Japan on the national level. He coached the Japanese Women’s National Team at the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. Welcome to #RaidersNation Takeshi!
