Raiders defeated by Jr. Senators 3-1

Darcy Walsh’s goal was the difference in a 3-1 contest as the Ottawa Jr. Senators sent the Nepean Raiders home with their sixth-straight loss.

Ryan Horvath had the lone marker for the visiting Raiders, scoring in early in the second frame.

Nepean’s lead held up for much of the period until Nick Lalonde and Walsh scored in rapid succession to finish the period.

Finn Evans potted a third period tally to bring Ottawa’s total to three.

The loss marks the fourth loss for Nepean in as many contests against the Jr. Sens. Ottawa won a tough 2-1 contest in the shootout earlier in the month.

After beating league-number one Carleton Place on Nov. 10, Nepean has mustered only six goals in the six games since.

With an assist on Horvath’s goal, Colin McCaughey now has points in back to back games.

The Raiders resume play tomorrow night at the Kanata Lasers.
