The Raiders defeat the Grads 4-2

Logan Bateman came up big, stopping 35 of 37 shots throughout the game. The Nepean Raiders took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Tyler Orban.

Nick Lachaine had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Lachaine opened the scoring for Navan with a goal at 1:24 with helpers from Hoffman and Lycan. Horvath answered for Nepean with a goal at 4:54 with an assist from his linemate Venne. Bourhas netted a goal at 16:07 with helpers from Binnie and Jurgeneit.

In the second period, Way ‘a’answered for the Grads with a goal at 13:21 with assists from Francis and Lachaine. Orban quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:58.

In the third, Mattawashish scored a goal at 19:55 with a helper from his linemate Bateman.

The Raiders’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bateman’s big night as he stopped 35 of the 37 shots he faced. Bateman’s counterpart, Maceachern, also had a big night, managing to stop 25 of 28, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Nepean Raiders’ record to (3-3-0-0).
