The Nepean Raiders' offense had a big night, peppering the Cornwall Colts with 33 shots throughout the game. The Nepean Raiders took the lead late in the third on a goal from Geoff Dempster.
Geoff Dempster contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Ryan Horvath chipped in with 2 assists.
In the first period, Mulhearn opened the scoring for Cornwall with a goal at 8:16 with helpers from his teammates Barnes and Dirven.
In the second, Miles answered for the Raiders with a goal at 7:40 with helpers from Dempster and Jurgeneit.
In the third period, Dempster put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:27 with assists from his linemates, Horvath and Bourhas. Venne scored a goal at 19:03 with assists from his linemates, Larkin and Horvath.
The Raiders’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bateman’s big night as he stopped 31 of the 32 shots he faced. Bateman’s counterpart, Carr, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 32, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Nepean Raiders’ record to (1-4-0-0).
