The Raiders defeat the Canadians 6-5

The Nepean Raiders' offense had a big night, peppering the Carleton Place Canadians with 39 shots throughout the game. The Nepean Raiders took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from George Daher.

Isaiah Baptiste delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Ethan Osburn did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Ayo Adenlye contributed with 2 goals and Andre Hromic chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first, Mattawashish opened the scoring for Nepean with a goal at 11:10 with helpers from his linemates, Venne and Horvath. Hromic answered for Carleton Place with a goal at 13:16 with helpers from teammates Templeton and Barayan. Adenlye deposited a goal at 18:47 with an assist from his defensive partner, Templeton.

During the second, Osburn answered for the Raiders with a goal at 16:38 with an assist from Rogers. Carrier quickly followed with a goal at 17:14 with a helper from Hromic. Adenlye quickly followed with a goal at 17:57 with a helper from his defensive partner, Templeton.

In the third period, Band answered for Nepean with a goal at 1:47 with assists from his linemates, Venne and Miles. Edwards deposited a goal at 8:25 with helpers from Dempster and Baptiste. Baptiste put in a goal at 11:08 with assists from Rogers and Venne. Daher scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:33 with a helper from defenseman Osburn. Bolton answered for the Canadians with a goal at 19:17 with an assist from Hromic.

Nepean’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Pimparé-Charbonneau’s big night as he stopped 12 of the 14 shots he faced. Pimparé-Charbonneau’s counterpart, Lorimer, also had a big night, managing to stop 22 of 23, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Nepean Raiders’ record to (2-3-0-0).
