Nepean, ON – The Nepean Raiders have completed a trade with the Ottawa Junior Senators, acquiring 2006-born forward Isaac Bradley and 2006-born defenceman Owen Kinghan in exchange for the CCHL rights to Jack Matsukubo and Mario Scalise.
Bradley, hailing from Ottawa, split last season between the Ottawa West Golden Knights and the Winchester Hawks of the EOJHL. Coming in at 6’1” and 181lbs, the 17-year-old has a well-rounded skillset that will slot right into the Raiders offence. Totalling 10 goals and 8 assists in his 37 games in Jr. B last season, Isaac has some offensive pedigree, registering 22 points in both U16 and U18 before making the leap to junior hockey.
Kinghan, also from Ottawa, spent the 2023-24 campaign in Saskatchewan with the Notre Dame Hounds U18 prep squad. The big-bodied, physical defender scored once and added five assists over 30 games, but the 6’4”, 209-pound 18-year-old is a beast in his own end. Originally drafted in the 10th round of the 2021 CCHL draft by the Raiders, he was a part of the U18 Raiders’ 2021-22 HEO Championship run, playing 72 games at the U18 level with the Raiders. He was traded to Ottawa via Rockland in a deal at the trade deadline last season, and we’re excited to have re-acquired him!
We would also like to thank Jack and Mario for their time in a Raiders uniform. Both players gave their all to the Black and Red, and we wish them luck in the future.
Welcome to Nepean, Isaac and Owen!
