Nepean, ON – The Nepean Raiders have completed a trade with the Hawkesbury Hawks, acquiring the CCHL rights to 2006-born defenceman Nathan Nadeau in exchange for a Player Development Fee and a 2025 CCHL Draft pick.
Nadeau hails from Ottawa, Ontario, and began this season with the Maine Black Bears of the NAHL. A 2021 second-round selection by the Hawks, Nadeau has spent the previous two seasons with Gilmour Academy in Gates Mills, Ohio. In 124 career games with the academy, Nadeau scored 20 goals and added 22 assists for 42 points, as well as racking up 210 penalty minutes.
Standing at 6’2”, 198 pounds at 18 years old, the right-handed defenceman brings size, skill, offensive talent, and championship pedigree, having won the MPHL championship with Gilmour Academy last season.
Raiders GM Lino Dixon spoke highly of the incoming defenceman:
“Nathan is a player who has added so many layers to his game, whether it be his positional play or his strong shot from the point. He also brings a positive attitude and team-first mentality to our group.”
Welcome to Nepean, Nathan!
