Nepean, ON – The Nepean Raiders have completed a trade with the Kemptville 73’s, acquiring 2005-born forward Owen Robitaille in exchange for a Player Development Fee.
Robitaille, from Endicott, New York, stands at 6-foot and 170lbs. The 19yo brings exceptional versatility and skill to the Raiders, having the ability to transition between the forward and defence positions.
This season with Kemptville, Robitaille registered his first career assist on October 18th, and has 1 point in 8 games. Previously Owen was a standout performer on the Pittsburgh Penguins U18 Elite squad, finishing fourth on the team with 34 points in 52 games – but only taking a single penalty. His mix of tenacity and discipline will be a huge addition to this Raiders squad.
General Manager Lino Dixon was excited to add the New York native to the squad:
“Robitaille is an older player whose skating and vision will allow him to be successful on our big ice. He’s a Swiss Army knife type of player that we feel comfortable moving around our lineup. We are thrilled to welcome him to Nepean.”
Owen will wear #10 in the Black and Red.
Welcome to Nepean, Owen!
