Nepean, ON – The Nepean Raiders are proud to announce that 2007-born forward Dylan Turcotte has signed with the team for the 2024/25 season.
The Ottawa native was a recent second overall selection of the Raiders, after being taken third overall by the Peterborough Petes in the 2024 OHL U18 Priority Selection. Leading from the front with his elite hands and quick feet, Turcotte has been a champion for the past three seasons at three different levels – U15 AA and U16 AA with the Gloucester Rangers, and this past season in U18 AAA with the Ottawa Jr. 67’s. In just 30 games last season, Turcotte put up 28 goals and 21 assists for 49 points and a 1.63 point-per-game pace, and added a further 7 goals and 8 assists for 15 points in 10 playoff games. In the all-Ontario championships, Turcotte scored 9 goals in seven games to lead the entire tournament.
During his season with the Jr. 67’s, Dylan earned a call-up to the Jr. B Ottawa Jr. Canadians of the EOJHL. In only four games, Dylan scored three times and assisted on three other goals for six total points. He also appeared in a pair of CCHL Jr. A games for the Ottawa Jr. Senators. This outstanding season earned him a high draft slot in the OHL U18 draft, and the Peterborough Petes selected him third overall. At their 2024 pre-season scrimmage, Turcotte found the scoresheet three times for Team Sign-A-Fied.
In his four pre-season games with the Raiders, Turcotte scored once on the power play and assisted on 3 other goals to hold a point-per-game pace, fourth on the team in scoring. General Manager Lino Dixon was thrilled to be adding Dylan to the forward corps this season:
“Dylan had an excellent camp with the Peterborough Petes in the OHL and learned a lot to help him with us this year. He’s a guy who can score if you give him just a little room and he has started to use his body to create space. He’s come a long way in the last two years and I anticipate continued growth from him with us.”
Welcome to Nepean, Dylan!
