The Nepean Raiders welcomed the Brockville Braves to the Nepean Sportsplex Steve Yzerman Arena following a 3-2 loss in Renfrew just twenty four hours prior. For the starting goalies, Otsirakatste Brant got the start in goal for the Raiders and as for the visiting Braves, Trey Caracciolo was in net.
The first period saw the Raiders score the first two goals from Nathan Nadeau and Peter Freel respectively. On the Freel goal, John Lumsden continued to be an assist machine for Nepean as he now has 23 assists on the season. The Braves would get one goal back late in the first period on a goal from Ryan McNally which was his second goal of the season assisted from Liam Harry and Alex McIntosh.
The shots on net were an even sixteen a piece.
The second period was all Brockville as they each scored the next three goals. Peter Legostaev, Ryan McNally and Brandon Paluszak got the goals.
On the bright side Nepean outshot the Braves 14-11 but it was Trey Caracciolo that was a brick wall in goal for the Braves in this middle frame.
The Nepean Raiders roared back in the third period when Tristan Konobelj and Peter Freel scored the goals for Nepean. Ending a seven game losing streak to the Raiders dating back to last season, the Braves scored the goal that sealed the deal when Ryan McNally tallied home his third goal of the game and it was the game winning goal.

A tightly contested game saw the Braves clinching victory with outstanding performances by McNally and Eccleston. Despite a valiant effort by the Raiders, the Braves held firm in the final minutes to secure the win.

Nepean has lots of things to be proud of entering the all-star game on Tuesday, Luka Benoit who leads the Raiders in goals with thirteen goals will represent for them while John Lumsden who now has 23 assists will be at the Young Guns Game as well.

Nepean’s next home game will be in a week from today when the Cornwall Colts come to town on November 24th. The Raiders will then have one more game to close out the month as they will visit the Ottawa Junior Senators at the Jim Durrell Sports Complex.
