The Nepean Raiders returned home to face off against the number one ranked Rockland Nationals. Nepean came off a 3-1 loss to the Smiths Falls Bears while the Nats cruised to a 4-1 victory over the Renfrew Wolves.
For the starting goalies Otsirakatste Brant got the start for the Raiders while Ty Ferguson started in goal for Rockland.
The first period was all Rockland as Gabriel Le Houllier scored twice in the period, the other goals scored were from Connor Pierson, Jeremy Bellau, Justin Garneau and Mathis Beril.
Though Rockland scored three more times in the second period, Nepean got on the board from Ben Kozyra’s seventh goal of the season as well as his second since joining the Raiders. The Nats scored the last two goals from Connor Pierson and Alex Kelloway.
Nepean scored the the goals from Noah Bath and and Anthony Bertrand to make things interesting. That would end up being the final score.
The three star selections were as follows: With the hat trick it was Gabriel Le Houllier who was awarded the first star of the game for Rockland, for his five point performance, Alex Kelloway was given the second star of the game for Rockland and Anthony Bertrand was rewarded the third star of the game for the Nepean Raiders.
Nepean’s next game will take place on Wednesday, January 28th when the Pembroke Lumber Kings come to town.
